1910 - From Patna to Jaipur
Great grandfather of current generation lost his family because of the plague. When his son died at the age of 17, he adopted his youngest brother as his son. They left the village Patna to go to Jaipur. The two brothers would become the most prominent diamond traders in Northern India. People would come from as far as Iran and Turkey to buy diamonds from them. They were known across the world. |
1921 - Purchase of Haveli Patnawala
The two brothers bought the Haveli in 1921 in a bad condition. The house was already 170 years old. The house is almost as old as Jaipur itself, so build around 1744. They moved into a near house, so they could renovate the Haveli. 40 people worked to renovate the Haveli. After 12 months the Haveli was finished and the 2 brothers could move in. They build the 2th and 3rd floor on the first courtjard of the Haveli. Were the hotel rooms are situated. |
1922-1947 - Court jewellers
Late Bitten lallji was the personal jeweller to His Highness Sawai Man Singh Ji The Maharaja of Jaipur. As well as he was the court jeweller of Jaisalmer Royal family. 1931 - Our grandfather was born
3 daughters and 1son (grandfather) were born in the house. 1952 - Mariage Our grandfather late Rajendra Prasad Ji got married, and our father was born. |

2006 - Rooftop
The highest rooftop rooms were made store old utensils from our family ancestors. Until then, there only was a tin shed ceiling. |

2010 Discovery
We discovered a hidden space when we wanted do create a bathroom. By accidently making a hole in a wall to check out the area, It seemed that there was an old 1940s bathroom hidden behind the wall. |
